Our Take On Pantone's 2021 Color Of The Year
Sally LaPointe
For 2021, Pantone has chosen not 1 but 2 colors for the Color of the Year - Illuminating (yellow) and Ultimate Gray. Both colors can stand up on their own but also compliment each other nicely. I can’t imagine starting a year any better than with optimism and encouragement for our future.
“The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encourage and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit.”
Illuminating: Happiness, Colorful, Bright, Optimistic, Warm, Creating Light, Glow, Powerful, Statement, Radiate, Shine, Uplifting, Bold, Ignite.
